By the point you will have loaded at least one movie clip and will have figured out how to navigate around the current movie clip, so now you will be wanting to edit the clip. This page tells you how to split up your movie clip, in order that you might rearrange parts of the movie, delete parts of the movie, or simply make divide into more manageable chunks. Remember that when you edit your movie clips in FadeToBlack the source AVI files and jpg/bmp images that you use are not modified in any way, so you never need worry about destroying them by using FadeToBlack To split your movie clip up you simply need to navigate to the frame you wish to split at and then click on the "Split" button, as indicated below. ![]() Now one clip has been divided between two clips. You will see an extra clip icon appear at the top of the screen. The clip that represents the right half of split is selected. Note : If you are on first frame of a clip, you can not split it because the split occurs between the current frame and the previous frame.
